Yayo Lutimba Joins Coastal Union

August 6, 2013
Yayo Lutimba has today completed a move from URA SC to Tanzanian premier side Coastal Union SC based in Tanga-Tanzania. Yayo Lutimba joined URA SC on June 30, 2012 as a free agent from Express FC after completing a successful season of Bell Super League 2011/2012 where his effort assisted Express FC to clinch the league Championship.
Coastal Union SC developed interest in the former left winger of URA SC during a pre-season tour in Dar-Es -Salaam where URA SC gunned down Tanzanian giants Simba SC 2-1 courtesy of a brace from Yayo Lutimba.
URA SC further drew with another Tanzanian giant Yanga SC 2-2 in the match where YAyo Lutimba again scored the two goals. Yanga SC then developed interest but backed down when they were advised to formally contacting URA SC with a request for transfer of the player.
The pre-season tour ended in Tanga where Yayo Lutimba’s new Club (Coastal Union SC), who had earlier also scouted him in Simba and Yanga matches against URA SC come up boldly by fulfilling the per-requisite of handing a formal request for transfer of the player to their side.
Speaking shortly after the completion of the deal at Hotel Africana today’s morning, Yusuf Akida Saad, the team manager of Coastal Union SC expressed his joy over the signing of the “star winger” who proved to Tanzanian sides his mighty during the pre-season tour.
Both URA SC and Coastal Union further came to an agreement of a condition that, should the player transfer from Coastal Union to any other club either locally (within Tanzania) or internationally, URA SC will realize a 20% disbursement on the eventual transfer fee paid to Coastal Union SC by any acquiring club at any given time.
Yayo featured on U-20 National team last year 2012 playing matches against Mozambique under Coach Paul Nkata now Head Coach URA SC.
